Systems Development Life Cycle The first step of the system development life cycle is planning. During the planning stage, an outline of the proposed project is created; along with the budget and the timeline to when things should be complete. Once this information has been gathered, management will decided if the current system being used is adequate or if a new system should be created. Management will closely analyze four different aspects, when making this decision. Technical, economic, operational, and schedule need all help figure out the best possible solution. The second step would be systems analysis. In this step information will be gathered to understand where the problem are and trying to be a part of the solution. In this step many tool and visual aide are used to give a concise understanding; such as computer aides, structured analysis and other technical tools. This step help map out where the business might be lacking and help to improve those areas. System design is the third step in the process.
