Free-Response Question:  Discuss third parties and the challenges they face in winning elections. In your discussion, cite three major points, which should be reasons third parties have difficulty in our political system. As supporting evidence, cite at least one third party candidate who received a significant number of popular votes but no electoral votes, and one third party candidate who received significant popular and electoral votes. Thesis Statement: Although third parties remain an important part of  American society for those seeking a unique political agenda, they  face trouble in gathering enough support to be elected. Major Point #1- Exclusion from major  debates and media  coverage Third Party canidates are sometimes breakaways from major political parties. Thus, Democrats and Republicans take these people out of the limelight to prevent exposure of party fallacies Major debates and the media educate people on the Republican and Democrat
