Daniel Brooks Assignment 5.10 To start of this exercise, I will define the various Presidential management styles. Ad Hoc utilizes a bureaucratic form. Committees and subcommittees, task forces, and advisors, are all delegated instructions from the President. This tactic resembles a CEO from a Fortune 500 company. Even though this style has flaws because it relies on other people to complete various tasks, it splits up the work evenly to complete the President's various initatives. For example, President Clinton planned to initiate health reform to enable all Americans to have access to this resource. His wife, Hilary Clinton, became the primary force behind this movement because Clinton delegated it to her. In the end it failed, however, because Hilary did not have the amount of support then as she does now. Thus, another drawback to Ad Hoc is relegating work to places that do not have the capabilities or experience to complete the work. A Circular structure counters the Ad Hoc structure by destroying the hierarchy
