Probability and Statistics for Engineering Homework 7 Spring 2011 (due Tuesday, March 29) See the following page for a list of the 11 salaries for the members of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball #! team. The data are taken from http://espn.go.com/mlb/team/salaries/_/name/stl/st-louis-cardinals. (During the pre-season, frequent roster changes are occurring. The given roster is from March 23.) This list of salaries will be your population. For any of the following problems, you may feel free to use the statistical capabilities of your calculator. (See the online handout, "ProbStats Procedures on the TI.") Enter numbers into your TI carefully! Wherever rounding is needed, round to the nearest dollar. (1) Find the population mean. (2) Find the population standard deviation. (3) Draw a stemplot of the data. Make it neat as well as accurate. (4) Use the random integer generator on your calculator to generate five random integers between 1 and 23, and write down these numbers. (It's OK to get repeated numbers among your five.) Then
