Axia College Material Appendix D TV Character Evaluation Part I Write a summary of 350-700 words identifying the contributions of Freud, Jung, and Rogers. The contributions to understanding the personality traits of humans and are the foundation for studies based on personality traits and behaviors. Sigmund Freud, Carl Jung, and Carl Rogers all have contributed to human behavior with their individually posed theories. Sigmund Freud was known for his theories which were based in the unconscious mind, and using conscious thought to analyze behaviors. Freud believed that our psyche is unconscious, and that the impulses and drives within are the cause for certain behaviors. Sigmund Freud believed in psychoanalysis, a method which is used to investigate the mind and gather information from it (Morris & Maisto, 2005). Freud believe that human personality consisted of three parts, the id, the ego, and the superego, all of which operate under the conditions of the “pleasure principle”, and in addition that our impulses and drives within a person causes much of a person’s behavior.
