Unformatted text preview: Nonlinear Dynamic Systems Course Project Description Course Project Students can work alone to analyze nonlinear phenomena or in a group (two students recommended) to build small-scale experiments that demonstrate concepts of nonlinear behavior. All project topics require instructor approval or they must come from the list of acceptable topics. Some class time will be allocated to discuss the student interest and time at the end of the semester will be allocated for presenting the efforts of each project. Timeline Submit project description ( ≈ one page): 28Jan05 & 23Feb05 Feedback from instructor: 31Jan05–4Feb05 Project presentations: 15Apr05-20Apr05 (i.e. ≈ Last week) Evaluation Meeting Interim Deadlines: 20% Emphasis of course concepts: 30% Final Report & Presentation: 50% Suggested Topics 1.
