Reading Check #8 Ch. 11 Using Language Effectively Directions: Answer the following questions thoroughly (a minimum of 5 sentences per question). 1. Explain specifically how you will employ the 6 C’s of effective language in your speech to inform. - Clearness: I will organize my layout thoroughly, so it will not be confusing and it will go in order. I would try not to make a topic/main point confusing by adding unnecessary information where the audience can interpret it wrong. -Color- I would try to describe and add description into my speech. That way, the audience can picture the story/object inside their head. They can use their imagination. I can be creative with the way I talk and the way I organize my speech. - Concreteness- I would try to used specific words so that my audience will have a better view of my topic. - Correctness- To avoid any mistakes such as grammar and misused of words, I would practice and practice. So I will not make a mistake. And if I am presenting my speech and I noticed I made a mistake, I can correct myself and continue on with my speech.
