Peer Critique Memo 4 (Keaton Scanlan’s Paper) by Cameron Short The main ideas were not expressed well at all in the essay. The essay itself was more of a summary of the Revolutionary War than an actual well written essay of the topic at hand. Also, the essay itself does not meet the length requirement. It is supposed to be four pages but the work itself is only two pages. The essay itself does not discuss the similarities and differences between the two pieces: “The Gettysburg Address” by Abraham Lincoln and the “Declaration of Independence” by Thomas Jefferson. Also, it does not present a theme between the two works to discuss. These are the requirements of the essay and this work does not meet those requirements. Therefore, this draft presents an inadequate essay. The essay discusses the differences and similarities between the two people in history; it does compare and contrast the works themselves.
