Were the Bolsheviks militarized and brutalized by the civil war or were they like that all along? Bolsheviks were leading the Russian revolution. They were ruling the party of political in Soviet Union. They were having the majority in the people of Russia. The civil war happened in the year 1917 which destroy the Russian monarchy. The strongest point of Bolsheviks was they had the unity and strength they had the majority of the urban population. They were militarized and brutalized by the Civil War. They wanted to have this war to build Socialism. One of Bolshevik leader Lenin joined this war with full dedication and struggle. He tried to have the extreme political persecution and militants in this force. Political extent was necessary to join together in this war for the country. Bolsheviks were very clear about their thoughts that we should all be together and make our strength to be together. Many foreigners fought on this war.
