So the rainfall next year will be twenty-three inches. • I believe this statement is probably true, because it is stating that there is a set pattern of average rain fall. Anything could happen but once a pattern is established it is extremely probable that it will stay the same in the future. 3. You expect to get forty miles to the gallon in that? Why, that old wreck has a monster V8; besides, it’s fifty years old and needs an overhaul. • This statement is probably true due to the fact that history shows us that older cars use more gas than newer cars and even in today’s market I am not sure if a V8 engine can go 40 miles per gallon 4.
