Kelli Lorenc Reading 064 Spring 2009 Joseph Rudyard Kipling Joseph Rudyard Kipling was born in Bombay, India on December 30,1865 and died in middlesex hospital, London on January 18, 1936. he was an author and poet some of his more famous work was “The Jungle Book” “Rikki-Tikki-Tavi” The Man Who Would be King” and “Mandalay”. Kipling received a noble prize in literature in 1907 he was the first “English language recipient”. Kipling and Carrie Balestier were married on January 18, 1982. they moved to Vermont
