Rubyard Kipling Presentation by James Agee Born on: December 30,  1865 In Bombay, India to Alice Kipling was one of  four remarkable Victorian  sisters  she was a vivacious  woman John Lockwood Kipling was  the principal and professor  of architectural sculpture at  the newly founded Sir  Jamsetjee Jeejeebhoy  School of Art and Industry  in Bombay.

Mistaken for a Nazi  Sympathizer Many older editions of  Rudyard Kipling's  books have a swastika  printed on their covers  associated with a  picture of an elephant  carrying a lotus flower.  Kipling's use of the  swastika, however, was  based on the sign's  Indian meaning of good  luck and well-being.
