Assignment 3 - Your Energy Costs Select one option from the four below. All options are worth the same number of points. The more advanced options are provided for students who find the basic ones too easy and want more of a challenge. Make sure you have read and understand the Modules Information About Programming Assignments and Style Rules for Assignments before submitting this assignment. Hand in only one program, please. OPTION A (Basic): The Monthly Bill Each appliance in your home eats electricity. To find out how much it uses, you can look on the manual that came with it. For example, your hot water heater probably uses between 4000 and 10000 W ( Watts ). Let's say it is 5000W Since it isn't on all the time, but goes on and off automatically as needed, it might only be active for half the time (12 hours in a day). Multiply 12 hours by 5000 W to see how much power it uses in one day: 60,000 WH , or Watt-Hours . How much did that cost you this month? Multiply by this number
