DEAR ALL STUDENTS, Pl read the following before starting to work on your “Research Literature Review” assignment. Formulating or deciding a research Problem 1. Broadly speaking any question or any assumption or assertion that you want to investigate becomes a research problem or objective of the study. However importantly keep in mind that not all questions can be transformed into research problems. 2. Before starting you must have clear idea that what is it that you want to find in the end? It’s just like “input – output” computer concepts. How you formulate your objective of the study is like input on which the output or the results / inferences would be based. If you are confused in the start this is very normal and a first step to move towards clarity. In short you move from broader to a very specific narrower focus. This is also because you have to manage your research project keeping the resources and time available at your end. 3.
