HTM 190 - Field Preparation Course Syllabus –Spring 2011 Professor: Gail A. Zemmol Office: MAK B-3-238 Office Phone: 231-331-8866 E-Mail: zemmolg@gvsu.edu Office Hours: Before or after class each day! Meeting Times: This class will meet only May 9 – 13, 2011 Daily 9:00 am to 11:50 am Class Location: 223 E DeVos Course Description: An orientation course preparing HTM major and those who wish to major or minor in HTM for entry into the HTM work environment. This course must be taken prior to the student’s registering for the first GVSU field experience (HTM 290). Prerequisite: HTM 101 (may be taken concurrently) Text: No textbook is required for this course. Students will be provided handout materials for their reading assignments. Objectives: The objectives of this course are to provide an opportunity for students to: Conduct a job search. Write a cover letter and resume. Complete a simulated interview. Deliver a presentation demonstrating good oral communication
