Manager 2 Abstract In this week’s assignment we are to identify the role and functions of a service department manager. We must determine an applicant’s qualifications and previous work experience. If an applicant is chosen for an interview, as a manager it’s important to evaluate their skills to see if they are qualified for the position.

Manager 3 What Skills to Look For In a Service Manager. An interview is an essential component of the entire selection process. It serves as the primary means to collect additional information on a job candidate. It serves as the purpose to assess the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills and abilities (Management Roles, 2008). During an interview there are necessary steps an interviewer must complete. During the interview it's important to make notes about the candidate’s answers, expressions, and any other important details not in the resume (Preparing for an interview, 2009).
