Access for poor people to legal assistance in civil cases . We will look at the current situation, and even at the hopes of many for something called the " Civil Gideon ." Part 1: Last year, the Brennan Center for Justice issued a "White Paper" entitled "Access to Justice: Opening the Courthouse Door." It is not a long paper and should not take you more than an hour to review. Many of the pages have very little content. Use the link to get it.
