Eclipse Usage This document covers the basics of Eclipse and is only a small fraction of what is available. To see all of the features, visit http://help.eclipse.org . Create a new Java project Go to File New Java Project The project name will be the folder the project is stored in. Contents: You can choose to place the project folder in the current workspace folder (“Create new project in workspace”) or you can place it in another directory (which may or may not already exist - “Create project from existing sources”). JRE: You can choose to use the workspace default JRE, specify a project default JRE, or use your operating system’s default JRE. Project layout: You can choose to put all .java and .class files directly in the project folder (“Use project folder as root for sources and class files”), or you can create separate src and bin folders to place them in (“Create separate folders for sources and class files”). To import code from other projects or libraries, click “Next”.
