3 ISyE 2028 Take-Home Exam #2 Due Friday 8 am, July 23 This is an exam which should be finished by each student individually. Students should ask Dr. Lu for questions and not discuss exam problems and solution techniques among students. If you see or hear any student discuss the exam problems, please send an email to me, jclu@isye.gatech.edu . Your identity will be kept in secret. There are two parts in this exam. Part A is for the technical work in the simple linear regression and part B is for the empirical modeling. Students needs to submit both parts via emails on the Friday due date. Your reports should have page number marked in the bottom-right of each page. Your name should be on the first page. Part A: Simple Linear Regression (40% of the entire Exam #2 grade) Problem #1 (40%): For your simulated data obtained in part (a) of Problem #2 in Part B (see below) finish the following tasks. (a) [5%] Use Excel (or any software) to calculate the needed summary statistics for regression analysis. Figure 1: Summary statistics for regression.
