Provides nutrition assistance for adults experiencing economic insecurity  Can provide adequate meals to their families Issued monthly benefits based on the Thrifty Food Plan, low cost model  diet plan How it Works? Electronic Benefit Cards that can be used like a debit card at the grocery  store Maximum allotment for the household size is 30% of the household’s net  income If there is no income then the household receives the maximum allotment S.N.A.P. benefits are carried over month to month S.N.A.P.- Supplemental  Nutrition Assistance  Program
