Writing Assignment: Flexible Expenses The article I found on the internet is called “Special Issues for Tweens and Teens” found at http://www.media-awareness.ca/english/parents/marketing/issues_teens_marketing.cfm I was able to identify the specific techniques used by marketers to promote their products among teens and learned about the “tween market”. “Tween Market” has developed recently that advertises to kids ages 8 to 12. It is hard to understand how kids of these age have means to purchase these products other than influencing their parents to make these purchases for them. The problem is that kids of these age are becoming more aware and demanding in their needs to be cool under the peer pressure they are experiencing in school and outside. Even toy manufacturers are changing their target market audience to ages 0 to 10 instead of 14. The article talks about Hollywood recruiting kids of that age to feature in the commercials, trailers and ads for an R- rated movies according to FTC. It is possible that marketers promote the feeling of independence
