Introduction to Cell & Developmental Biology 1 Spring 2011 MWF 11:00 – 11:50 BIO 205 Introduction to Cell & Developmental Biology Instructor (first half): Steve Rogers E-Mail: [email protected] Phone: 919.843.7342 Office: 421 Fordham Hall Office Hours: By appointment Course website The course syllabus and lecture materials will be posted at: http://www.bio.unc.edu/Courses/2011Spring/Biol205Section6/ Teaching assistants Erin Friedman ([email protected]) Ben Ritchie ([email protected]) Prerequisites You must have passing grades in Biology 101 and Biology 202. Lectures Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 11 to 11:50 AM in Coker Hall room 201. The first half of the course is taught by Professor Rogers (Cell Biology), the second half (Developmental Biology) by Professor Reed. Recitation sections are held once per week. Evaluation There will be four examinations - dates are provided on the syllabus. Exams will count towards 92% of the final grade and recitation assignments will count for 8%.
