Approach Describe the approach How might the approach be used? Body planes and directions The study of the 3 body planes and the directions of these planes. To understand the movement of the body and the division of planes. Body cavities The study of the internal organs of the body. To learn the functions of our internal organs. Quadrant and regions This approach studies the 4 quadrants or nine regions of the human body. Helpful as a reference during a physical exam of the internal organs. Anatomy and physiology This approach studies the structures and functions of the human body. To learn the parts and functions of our bodies. Microscopic-to- macroscopic The study of the smallest parts and how they combine to make larger, more complex structures.
