Unformatted text preview: B A 320 I ndividual homework Resource leveling is a technique for resolving resource conflicts by delaying tasks, to
create a smoother distribution of resource usage and reduce overallocation. For example,
p ulling resources from a task that has slack on schedule and investing them in a task that
t akes long t ime to finish. I t is important because it requires less resources management
since resources are being used on a more constant basis, it can enable the use of just-int ime inventory type of policy for subcontractors or other expensive resources, i t results in
fewer problems for the project, and often improves morale. T he types of dysfunctional teams are the absence of t rust, fear of conflict, lack of
commitment, avoidance of accountability, and inattention to results. These dysfunctions
can be fixed through the help of software, and other actions taken. Planning social
activities between team members and stakeholders would building t rust between them.
S tressing the team identity and holding huddle to encourage team members reduce the fear
of conflict. Taking additional actions to work with vi r tual team members stresses more
commitment and accountabili ty. The inattention to results issue can be resolved by
