Magnetic Forces and Moving Charges Question 1: Does magnetic field exert force on a charged particle ? Answer: Magnetic field exerts a force only on moving charged particles. Question 2:What is the direction of the magnetic force exerted onto moving charge? Answer: Magnetic force is always (A) perpendicular to the direction of the magnetic field; and (B) perpendicular to the direction of velocity (V) of a moving charge . The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
