If there are binding rules or guidelines on a group, that group has a right to protest or revise those rules. It is because we are moral equals no one has the right to rule over one another. Underlying assumption is that political authority rests on consent not on traditions made in the past. 2) Makes the observation that history is a multiplicity of theories ideals and beliefs.
