Tenure This is a process and any teacher with tenure can be fired. The law says that after a certain probationary period, a teacher can not be fired unless there is a specific reason. The salary pay os for all teachers and it does not matter where you live. The salary schedule solved three problems; gender issues (male would get more), personality discriminaton and course discrimination. The tenure law protects a teacher from being fired from entering their third or later year even though everyone like them because it was getting too expensive. Also, Lets say you have a great teacher who is getting to old to do the things she use to do. A good principal would relieve of some of the duties and make it easier for her but a stupid one would fire her because he wants more administrative duties. Lets say there is a teacher that does all the cool stuff like evolution, He likes to prosper on the waves, no a calm ocean. He cant be fired bec the principal doesn’t like him.
