Daphne turns into a laurel plant (like bay leaves- symbolizes victory, association with Apollo An elderly couple try to sacrifice the goose but Juno and Jupiter wont let them. . The surrounding area is flooded except for the house of Bacchus and Philimon. Their house is turned into a temple and they want to be their priests.
