Jen Possanza Professor Kamstra Ped 265 March 30 th , 2010 Lesson Plan: Bullying 4 th Grade Objectives Cognitive: TSW know characteristics of bullying and how to react to it when seen. Affective: TSW be respectful during group discussion. Psychomotor: TSW will participate in group skits to demonstrate examples of bullying. Michigan Standards Strand 4: Social and Emotional Health o Standard 1: Core Concepts 4.1 Describe the effect of teasing and bullying on others. Materials 11x17 computer paper Markers Colored pencils Crayons Actual Lesson Introduction o Introduce the topic of bullying to the students by asking for a few volunteers. Explain to the students who volunteered that you are going to be the bully on the playground. Role play to see how the students who volunteered react. o Have the class discuss characteristics and aspects of bullying. o Write each characteristic and/or aspect on the white board.
