Scientific Method The steps used by all scientists when planning and conducting research are referred to as the Scientific Method. It all starts with an observation that makes someone wonder why. From there the idea is formed into a hypothesis. The hypothesis is tested using an experimental plan. The results from the experimental plan are analyzed to see if the hypothesis is supported or not. Sometimes adjustments have to be made to the hypothesis. Then the whole processes is written into a scientific paper and published for other scientists to read. Analyze Did your experimental results support your hypothesis? Can you make correct predictions? Publish Let other scientists criticize your work and try to reproduce your results. Theorize
