DHRMASIRI - VTI18T1544 1 September 13, 2018INTRODUCTION In order to maintain and increase the market share and revenue, the Board of Directors and the CEO of the BBQfun Company have decided to implement an e-commerce strategy. The strategy also expected to increase the customer satisfactory. Electronic commerce is a revolution in business practices (Opentextbc.ca, 2018). Under the strategy BBQfun would offer all products in an online store. In broad sense, e-commerce is the use of computer networks to improve organisational performance i.e. increasing profitability, gaining market share, improving customer serviceand delivering products faster. This allows the organization’s stakeholders such as customers, suppliers, government regulators, financial institutions, managers, employees and public, to enhance communications and transactions with the use of information technology. Along with other environmental challenges, organizations face three critical strategic challenges: demand risk, innovation risk, and inefficiency risk. The Internet, and especially the Web, can be a device for reducing these risks (Opentextbc.ca, 2018).
