1. I have headaches or backaches Others have commented on my mood or attitude lately If a family member were showing signs of depression I would advise them to go to therapist. They are the type of people that are knowledgeable, trained and committed to helping their patients. If they do not want to go to a therapist, helping someone who is depressed; all they need is someone to talk to. Express your concern to them; let them know they seem to be struggling and they need help. Don’t be distracted; by behaviors like drinking or gambling. Encourage them to remain in treatment; until symptoms begin to lift. Provide emotional support; listen carefully and offer hope and reassurance that with time and treatment, things will get better. Do not ignore remarks about suicide; report them to their doctor, or in an emergency call 911. 2. Family history will play a huge role in the top 4 mental disorders of young adults. Disorders can be a trait that is passed down to kids, if your parent was so an alcohol dependence, and you grew up with your parents always drinking you could become an alcoholic and have alcohol dependence to. Its kin of like whatever your parents do growing up around you, you will pick up the trait and continue doing it as that young adult gets older to. But being a young adult your not in the stage of accepting a disorder, your not comfortable talking to a professional about your problems and would feel embarrassed if others found out. 3. The connection between mental and physical health are: o Physical Health- Physical health is anything that has to do with our bodies as a physical entity. Physical health is the overall condition of a living organism at a given time, the soundness of the body, freedom from disease or abnormality, and the condition of optimal well-being. The main concern in health is preventing injury and healing damage caused by injuries and biological attacks. o Mental Health- Mental health is a term used to describe either a level of cognitive or emotional well-being or an absence of a mental disorder. It is also a term used to describe either a level of cognitive or emotional well-being or an absence of a mental disorder. Mental health is the capacity to express our emotions and adapt
