I know what’s best for me and I there is a problem I know that I shouldn’t give up but to fight for what I truly believe in what is best for me. 2. There are many rights concerning medical treatment that many people don’t know. Informed consent is a right and not a privilege. You have the right to seek other options and ask any questions you want. Make sure you understand completely what is going on with potential risks as well as benefits and prospective treatment. As well as informed consent, you have the right to privacy and access to medical records. 3. Many people feel that doctors rush through their visits and seldom answer questions. We as patients have to step up. Patients have to learn more about their body, any medical conditions or problems that are developed, and your option for treatment. A computer is a good liable source that encounters great amount of information about the problem you are having. You can also find information on an online service, patient advocacy and support organization, and of course libraries. The information given can help you know what questions to ask and how to evaluate what your doctors says. But the key point is you have to be willing to “speak up.” 4. HMO is Health maintenance organization that is managed-care plans that emphasize routine care and prevention by providing complete medical services in exchange for a predetermined monthly payment. HMO’s are group modeled and individual associated. HMO’s generally paying a fixed amount per patient to a physician or hospital, regardless of the type and number of services actually provided. HMO’s pay a regular, preset fee that usually included diagnosed tests, routine
