Civil liberties are rights and freedoms that protect an individual from the state. Civil liberties set limits on the government so that its agents cannot abuse their power and interfere unduly with the lives of private citizens. People have opionins about everything, especially when it comes to music. Music is like a form of symbolic speech; it provides a and delivers messages to the people. The government has the right to supress their symbolic views, but I think if they have a negative view they must have a reason as to why they dislike it. Everyone should be entitled to freedom of speech no matter what it is they are doing in life.
