Brittany Fiscus Lesson Plan Goal: Children will learn about patterns Grade Level: Kindergarten Objectives: Children will be able to identify the pattern given Children will be able to find the next 4 colors Children will be able to identify patters throughout the year Materials: Laminated 10 blocks on paper. Colored connectable cubes Disposable cups cut into a funnel Work Plans: We start off placing about 6 colored cubes on the laminated bored, using just 2 colors to start off. The teacher then asks the children which color the cube is starting with the first. The children continue to name the colors until the bank laminated squares approach. The teacher then asks the child what color comes next, if they need to re-say the color patter they are more than welcome to. The children finish the pattern until the empty squares are covered. The children then are able to create patterns of their own with their friends.
