Axia College Material Appendix D Contingency Theory of Leadership Description of work environment A good work environment is one that has all the necessary leaders, and dedicated workers to keep the business afloat. The leaders must be supportive, organized, and be able to work with behaviors and attitudes of associates. The associates need to have the skills, and experience to perform their job. Most importantly leaders and associates need to be able to work together as a team, and trust each other to do the right thing. In the table below, categorize different leadership approaches that could be used in the work environment you have described. Provide different suggestions for each of the four approaches to leadership. Directive approach Supportive approach The leaders would be able to provide continuous training to associates when needed. All associates are made aware of the goals and standards that are expected of them. Every associate is given the associate handbook that goes over all the regulations and rules
