LEGAL CONSIDERATION 2 Legal Consideration I believe this instruction is necessary because if it were not put into place than people would be doing whatever they wanted to and making decisions based on their own feelings and opinions. These laws are put into place to avoid making biased decisions and to “level the playing field” so to speak. If a company allowed everyone to do their jobs using their own code of ethics, chaos would surely ensue. These are especially important when working in the human services field because the goal is to protect those you are caring for, working with, or providing

Unformatted text preview: help for and without these laws and the code of ethics there is no guarantee that you are doing what is best for them rather than what you feel is right or wrong. What it tells us about the relationship between laws and ethics is that there really is not one. Laws are put into place in order to ensure that justice is served to those who have done wrong. Ethics are put into place in order to ensure ones safety and to make sure that their own human rights are not stepped on. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and feelings about certain subjects. Whether or not they find the laws to be how they feel they must abide by them....
