ENG 1131 D Shahid Jadavji 6037549 Due: April 6, 2011 Instructor: David Sacks Tsunami Productions, 1014 Robson Street, Vancouver, BC V6E 1A7 Date: April 6, 2011 To: Michel D’Souza, Division Manager From: Shahid Jadavji, Human Resources Associate Subject: Recommendation Report for Employee Email Policy Simply put, your employees have too much freedom with email as well as browsing the web. In order to facilitate a positive working environment for your employees, it is recommended that you impose an accommodative approach to implementing an email policy. This will help regulate and monitor electronic communication among your employees to ensure no time is being wasted and email is being used for the right purposes. I highly suggest a lenient approach rather than a strict one if you would like to keep your employees satisfied. As technology has advanced, email has begun to transcend as a medium of communication for businesses worldwide. Tsunami Productions will benefit from a not-too-strict email policy with improvement in worker productivity as employees will be grateful for the monitored freedom given to them. However, it is crucial that all employees understand the following criterion: Use of company email is permitted to employees solely for the purpose of working toward achieving the goals and objectives of the business.
