Distance learning is one of the most important decisions you can make about going to school. You must decide what type of learning you are -- be it visual or hands on -- and make sure that distance learning is something that you can accomplish with great success. Axia course work by using discussion boards to help interact with both the instructor and other students. You will need to post in your discussion boards at least four times a week to get a satisfactory grade in class participation. You don’t want to miss anything, either, so this is a great place to start!

Unformatted text preview: When you go to the Classroom Tab on your Axia course home page, youll see a Discussion Tab. In the Discussions Tab, you will find various chats called forums. The forum titles will tell you where to post and typically when to post. Inside each forum is a threaded discussion in which you can reply to the instructors original message with your post as well as reply to any students posts as well. The forums and threaded discussions are a great way to give and receive feedback for all assignments posted within them. Also, remember that Axia is all about asynchronous communication. When your instructor says an assignment is due by 11:59PM, thats Arizona time table, so be sure to post an hour ahead of that if youre in California.
