The Scientific Method Website experiment results: You said you grew three plants with a light to the left of them and three plants with a light to the right of them. The leaves of the plants with the light on the left turned toward the left and the tops of the plants grew toward the left. The leaves of the plants with the light on the right turned toward the right and the tops grew toward the right. Does that support your hypothesis that plants respond to the light? Yes it does support my hypothesis because the results were the same as I predicted. First I would find six plants that are the same type and the same height. I would observe them and ask: Will the plants respond to the light? My hypothesis would be: If I place the light in a certain direction the plants will grow towards the light. Testing : I made two groups of three with the plants, group A and group B. I put a light on the left of group A and a light on the right of group B. I left the plants alone of a week to see how the plants would respond.
