Garrett Johnson October 4, 2008 Intro to theatre For my paper I’m going to tell you how I got to know my character better. I had to choose a character from the play “Joe Turner’s: Come and gone”. I had to choose a character, select six sources and tell how those sources would help me play the character I choose better. The character I choose was Bynum Walker. I choose this character because I thought he was interesting and cared about other people. I choose 6 main points I would like to focus on which are: Helping closed-Minded people, helping others, African voodoo, spiritual rituals, root workers, and Bynum being an eccentric person. Helping closed-Minded people This section helped me respond to Seth’s character because unlike Martha he is a closed minded person. He was always suspicious of people and seemed to focus on people’s negative side more than the positive. In the reading I did on closed-minded people it said to respond respectfully to those kinds of people which Bynum does. This section also helped me understand
