Garrett Johnson January 8, 2008 Intercultural communication What does it mean to be a university student? To be honest, I’ve never thought about that question before. I guess the point of this paper is to make me think about things that I’ve never thought about before. So, what does it mean to be a university student? It’s a big deal to be a university student to me. It’s the means of getting a good job for the career choice that you choose. Me being a university student I’ve been looked at differently. People see me as someone who has goals in life and as someone who’s going places. Being a university student presents more pressure on that person because he/she is looked at differently, then as to someone who is not in college. Its an honor to be a university student because youre apart of only a hand full of people who has been selected to be a part of that university. Being a part of a university means that youre a part of that schools history. The university that you choose may have some very special historical names that went to the same school as you. They probably went through the same struggles as you did. They had to study, take test, and go to class just as you do. That in itself should make you proud to be a part of history. Being a university student means that you have a great opportunity to make something of yourself. It means that you are blessed, lucky to be where you are, and it means that you should take advantage of the opportunity at hand. To me, it means that Ive made it....
