Garrett Johnson October 15, 2008 Intro to theatre Romeo and Juliet review I was an usher for the Romeo and Juliet play so I didn’t pay any money to see it. But overall I enjoyed the play. I was fun and enjoyable to sit there and laugh at this production. The production being a comedy was the most surprising thing from this play. I was going to Quirk theatre expecting a sad drama that was going to be boring and end up making me fall asleep. That was the total opposite from this compelling play. I noticed a difference from the beginning of the play which was how they came out from the theatre’s entrance instead of the stage. I thought that idea was extremely spontaneous and surprising which got my attention from the start of the play. Even though I’m not a theatre fan I respect the way the director caught the audience’s attention with that concept. He obviously wanted people to be on their heels the whole play because the whole play had lots of surprises. I also liked the director’s idea of it being a romantic comedy which is new and different
