Introduction: Do you want to be sharper at your job? Feel less tired during the day? Spend some quality time with your significant other? Improve your mood? Or better yet, enjoy eating cookie without quilt? If you answered yes to these entire questions, exercise is the answer. So, why don’t more people exercise? Studies show that 60% of America adults do not get the recommended amount of physical activity, and over 25% of adults are not active at all. What’s the excuse? In the discussion I will explain why people do not exercise, the effects of not exercising and lastly how to encourage more people to exercise. I Reasons Why People do not exercise A. Hate to exercise A. Tried to exercise but keep quitting B. Can’t afford a gym membership C. Do not see any immediate results D. Do not know how to exercise E. Have family obligations F. Cannot stay motivated G. It Hurts H. Cannot stay committed to stick to regular routine I. I do not have the time II The effects of not exercising A Decrease mental capacity
