Hilliard 258-10-0169 July 5, 2010-October 22, 2010 MG 665 Lesson#4, Assignment 1 Study the case, "Cuttyhunk Bank" on pages 67-70 of the text Management Communication: Principles and Practice (3 rd Edition). 1. How do you evaluate the message Wilson gave Brock? Brock’s memo? The April 25 letter? In my opinion the memo was sent to Brock in very bad tasted. From the outside looking in it seems as if Wilson is trying to hide something from its customers. By telling Brock to give the message of not “encouraged members to attend the meeting” seems a little underhanded. It is stated that under federal law that every member is entitle one vote for every $100 deposited. If member choose not to exercise their right to vote that should be left up to them and taken away by the bank employees. 2. Did flaws in the use of content, logic, evidence, or argument lead to this problem? In hindsight, how should the bank have announced and explained the Special Meeting of the Members? What should have been the message and argument of the original letter of April
