Is it just a problem of perception or of the residents’ desire for zero emissions? Are there real problems with the control of stack emissions and fugitive dust? The problem at the Vanrex plant is residents surrounding the plant have been complaining about air pollution. The problem is just a perception of the residents. There is not real problem of the stack emissions but fugitive dust is causing a problems with breathing and it is eating way the paint on cars. The state Department of Health and Environment and the Environmental Protection Agency inspected the site and found it to be in compliance with regulatory requirements. 2. What steps have been taken to reduce emissions at the plant?
