Writing Assignment #2 EDP 201 1.) There are a few things that Mr. Carson could have done in order to prevent the group project from falling apart and only a few members working on it. Mr. Carson did start out in the right direction by composing the groups in a heterogeneous fashion, but in order to receive the best outcome could have done a few more things. By placing children into small heterogeneous groups, Mr. Carson was trying to bring out the best in high and lower ability students, who most of the time, benefit off of each other. He did not take into account the medium ability students, who a lot of times get left out and do not benefit from these groups. The high ability students help to teach the lower ability students. I think that Mr. Carson should have taken into account that this could be a potential problem within the small groups. Mr. Carson could have also emphasized cooperative learning throughout the classroom. An easy way he could have accomplished this is to make weekly journals.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
