October 6, 2010 Exploration Reflection EDL 301 My group and I attended the Latin American and Caribbean UniDiversity Festival on Friday September 24 th . The festival was held in Uptown Park all around the amphitheater area. There were so many different things. Some of the booths had food, some had crafts, others had things to buy, and yet still some had animals. Everything incorporated within the festival was from some decent of Latin America or the Caribbean. On the stage there was singing, dancing, and music from the culture as well. While at the festival, our group decided to learn a little more about some of the animals’ native to these areas. There were some alpacas, tarantulas, cockroaches, rabbits, and lizards. All of these animals were from some part of either Latin America or the Caribbean. We also got to see traditional dance and dress from this area and culture. There were women dancing on the stage with bright flowing skirts and matching tops.
