Rachel Riddle PHY 101 Lab #6 Procedure 1: Fourier Synthesizers  o Equipment Fourier synthesizer Calculator Instruction sheet Pencil o The data can be found on the attached sheet o The results of the experiment were that we were able to discover how to make certain waves  and how just because you make the type of wave that is supposed to sound like a piano  doesn’t mean it will.                                                                                                                 Procedure 2: Fourier Analyzer o Equipment Fourier Analyzer Pencil Tuning fork Someone’s voice o The data is shown on the attached sheet-sorry the drawings are so bad!!!!!

Unformatted text preview: o The results of the experiment were that we were able to see how different sounds create different wave and the frequencies of those waves. • Summary of Results o For procedure 1 the experiment resulted in discovering how to create different types of waves for certain instruments. We also discovered how the waves won’t look like the pictures or sound like the instruments because that requires more than nine channels. For procedure 2 the experiment showed that by using a Fourier analyzer you can see the waves and frequencies for everyday sounds such as voices and a tuning fork....
