Apt. 1916 Southfield Michigan, 48033 August 27, 2010 Charlene Carter-Sims General Manager City of Detroit Income Tax Division Dear Charlene Carter-Sims: This letter is to complain about your service or shall I say lack of service I received from your division. I sent my Income Tax form to the prescribed addressed in February, 2010. To date, I have not received my refund. I called your division numerous times – the majority of time the telephone rings and ring, no one answers. Anyway, when, I was able to reach a customer service representative, she stated that my refund has not been posted to account and to call back in two-weeks. The second time when I was able to contact a representative, she requested that I resubmit my forms. I expected her to say that the matter would be investigated, silly me!! I submitted another income tax form the beginning of July 2010

Unformatted text preview: The week of August 23, 2010, I called to check on the status on my refund – the phone rings and ring – no one answers. Very unprofessional!!! Also, my son Garrett Johnson (same address) has not received his refund either. He submitted his form in March, 2010 I would like to resolve this matter as soon as possible. I filed a complaint with the Ombudsman today. Furthermore, if I do receive a response from your office within two from the date listed on the letter, I will file a complaint to the Mayor’s Office, Better Business Bureau and “Ruth to the Rescue” (Channel 4 News).
